Most people consider white to be the easy way out of designing a space.
In fact, it's the opposite. It takes a very strong, clear vision to choose white. If you paint with a color, it completes a room very quickly. But white requires you to understand your vision for the entire space.

I like things to play off white. I live in white. My beach house is in white.
The majority of backgrounds that I do – unless it's a bedroom or a dining room – are always white. It's a very grounded thing.
