Things You'll Need To Know:

 
  • Application Options

    • - High-quality brush
    • - Roller with 1/2" nap
    • - Pump sprayer
    • - Airless sprayer (.011 – .015 fluid tip, 700 – 800 psi)

    Application Tips

    • - To avoid lap marks, always work the entire length of a board while maintaining a wet edge. Never stop application in the middle of the board.
    • - Vertical surfaces should be coated from top to bottom.
    • - Do not saturate or puddle on horizontal surfaces.

    Cleanup

    • - Clean tools with warm, soapy water.
  •  

    Important Notes

    • - Wear safety glasses.
    • - Do not apply in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
    • - Flood Multi-Surface Clear is for exterior use only; do not use it indoors.

    Weather Requirements

    • - Apply when air and surface temperatures are 50°F to 90° F (10° C to 32° C) and will remain above 50° F (10° C) for the next 48 hours.
    • - Do not apply if wet weather is expected within 48 hours.
 

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. 1. Cover everything you do not wish to coat, including plants.
  2. 2. Make sure the wood surface has been properly prepared and is completely dry.
  3. 3. Do not mix with any other coating, paint or stain products, and do not thin the product.
  4. 4. Stir the product before and periodically during application.
  5. 5. Apply an even coat with a brush, roller, or a low-pressure garden-type sprayer or spray equipment, avoiding heavy application. Application by brush is recommended. When applying by roller or spray, always back-brush for best results.
  6. 6. A second coat may be applied wet-on-wet before the first coat dries.
  7. 7. Allow the finish to dry 24 to 48 hours.
